A life lived navigating and appreciating challenges brought forth. Born with Spina-Bifida, an unsuccessful spinal surgery in my thirties, and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in my forties, I have and will continue to grow-up blessed with amazingly supportive friends and family. This support and acceptance is the driving force behind Affirmation art. My intentions of spewing my “woe-is-me’s” is not for sympathy, but instead, encouragement! These BLESSINGS have found me in a situation to give love, support, humor, and all around good Vibes through the sharing of my ART!

My art was MOSTLY finger painted, as holding a brush with any type of control was not comfortable due to the interruptions in my nervous system. Instead, a jolt of energy that flows from my soul, passes through my electric fingers, and is then crammed into the welcoming fibers of canvas. I can’t tell you the joy……… * Update *….As of the beginning of 2023, I have incorporated other tools and surfaces into my Art! I will never stop wanting to learn new techniques and mediums….. I LOVE IT!

Enough about me, let me tell you about my biggest fan and the sole proprietor of Affirmation art. A wonderful soul that compliments me in every way. A yin to my yang, a light to my dark, and peanut butter to my jelly. Without her, I wouldn’t be writing this ... She is my wife and I can’t be more proud and thankful for her passion in everything she attempts. I love you, Karla!

Getting back to my story, Fast Forward to “The Great Lockdown of 2020”. We recognized the amount of negative energy from Social Media, and its toll on our MENTAL HEALTH. With the heavy pressures, A decision was made….. To encourage one another’s pursuit of what (individually) makes us SMILE! With us joined in the same pursuit, we faced the MIGHTY MENTAL TOLL, and I’m here to tell you, We are loving this new life that we’ve CREATED!
